Kenyans in Ghana host successful 2025 Family Fun Day event in Accra

The Kenyans in Ghana Association (KGA) hosted its 2025 Family Fun Day on Saturday, May 10, 2025. Over 120 members of the Kenyan community attended. The event took place at the University of Ghana's Athletic Oval Field. It was a day filled with laughter, connection, and celebration.

Both adults and children enjoyed games, food, music, and bonding. Activities included a three-legged race, football matches, dance-offs, and painting for kids. The Family Fun Day is a highlight of KGA’s annual calendar. It promotes unity among Kenyans living in Ghana.

This year’s event had vibrant energy and excellent organization. It provided a safe environment for everyone to enjoy. Families wore team-colored shirts and participated enthusiastically in games. Children played freely while adults joined in with cheer.

Mr. Kottut, the Ag. High Commissioner of Kenya in Ghana, was the Guest of Honour. He remarked that the event captured the warmth and unity of Kenyans abroad. He expressed pride in initiatives that bring the diaspora together.

Ms. Emma Wenani, Chairperson of KGA, shared her pride in the event's success. She emphasized the importance of community and connection while away from home.

The Family Fun Day succeeded thanks to generous support from sponsors like Unity Homes and Multi Pac Ghana Ltd., among others. KGA thanks all attendees, volunteers, and sponsors for making it memorable. They look forward to future events that strengthen the Kenyan community in Ghana.
