Kissi Agyebeng is just playing to the gallery – Subin NPP Youth Organizer slams OSP

Razak, the Youth Organiser for the New Patriotic Party in Subin, has criticized the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP). He accused its head, Kissi Agyebeng, of focusing on theatrics instead of real investigations.

During an appearance on Wontumi TV’s morning show, Razak claimed that the Special Prosecutor seeks public attention. He believes this is especially true in the case involving former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.

“The Office of the Special Prosecutor has become a platform for theatrics,” Razak stated. He argued that recent actions show an unprofessional approach to justice.

Razak questioned why Ken Ofori-Atta needed to appear in person. He suggested that a competent office would focus on gathering evidence instead of creating drama.

“Ken Ofori-Atta can choose to respond or not during investigations,” he explained. “Requiring his physical presence makes no legal sense unless you want headlines.”

This controversy follows several politically charged events. The OSP recently invited Ken Ofori-Atta to assist with investigations into financial decisions made during his time as minister.

This invitation sparked significant political commentary and debate. Additionally, prominent NPP figures have been arrested, including Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako and Adenta Constituency Chairman Kumi.

Both were reportedly detained over separate issues related to alleged procurement irregularities and abuse of office.

Razak views these arrests as part of a broader campaign targeting members of the previous administration. He believes it is a politically motivated effort disguised as legal action.

He urged party members to stay vigilant and warned the OSP against using prosecutorial discretion for political purposes.
