Kojo Yankah, former MP for Agona East and seasoned politician, has criticized the influence of partisanship in Ghana's governance.
Speaking on the Asaase Breakfast Show (ABS) on January 2, 2025, he emphasized the need for appointees to prioritize national unity over party loyalty when serving in leadership roles.
Yankah, reflecting on his tenure as Ashanti Regional Minister, stressed that representatives should see themselves as Ghanaians first, not as partisans.
He pointed out the importance of an inclusive leadership approach, noting that his success in fostering unity and development stemmed from working with people of diverse political, ethnic, and religious backgrounds.
Yankah called for an open-minded attitude to ensure effective governance and national progress.
