Kwahu Business Forum: Africa must take advantage of emerging global opportunities – Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has urged African nations to seize new global opportunities. He spoke at the Kwahu Business Forum on April 19. The President stressed the need for Africa to shift its trading mindset. He called for a focus on manufacturing, industrialization, and entrepreneurship.

“The world is changing, and new opportunities are emerging,” he said. “We must take advantage of those opportunities.” He pointed out that trade wars among major economies are shifting global production. This presents Africa with a unique chance to assert itself.

Historically, Africa has often missed out on major global transitions. From the Cold War to globalization, these shifts have passed by. However, President Mahama remains optimistic about Africa's potential today.

He encouraged Africans to rethink their economic roles. He urged bold ventures into agribusiness and digital entrepreneurship. “We can be anything that we want,” he affirmed.
