Alfred Thompson, a communications team member of the opposition NPP, has criticized the government for failing to provide full disclosure on Vice President Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang’s health condition.
Speaking on JoyNews' AM Show on March 31, he questioned the limited information shared after the Vice President was rushed abroad for medical treatment. He argued that, as a public figure, her health status is of national concern and should not be shrouded in secrecy.
Thompson also called out the NDC for contradicting its past stance against seeking medical care overseas.
The Presidency had earlier stated that Opoku-Agyemang was treated at UGMC following a sudden illness on March 28 before doctors recommended further treatment abroad.
