Greater Accra Regional Minister-designate, Linda Akweley Ocloo, made history on January 28 as the fastest nominee to be vetted by Parliament’s Appointments Committee.

Her session lasted under 10 minutes, with no questions from committee members.

Instead, Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin cited her strong delegation as evidence of her competence.

Committee Chairman Bernard Ahiafor acknowledged her guests before swiftly discharging her.

If confirmed, the Shai Osudoku MP is expected to prioritize urban development, youth empowerment, and improved public services in the region.

In contrast, Defence Minister-nominee Dr. Omane Boamah faced an intense four-hour vetting session, making his the longest of the day.
