Mahama's 120 days in office a promising start - Nuacoo Nunoo

Corporate and investment banker Robert Carl Nuacoo Nunoo praised President John Dramani Mahama's first 120 days in office. He described Mahama's presidency as urgent, clear, and optimistic.

Nuacoo Nunoo noted three key pillars of the administration: restoring confidence, stabilizing institutions, and reshaping national development. He stated that Mahama's return has been significant for a nation facing economic uncertainty and social discontent.

He highlighted efforts to rebuild trust in Ghana's economic management. This includes swift policy actions, increased transparency, and stakeholder engagement. "The government is committed to restoring investor confidence," he said.

Nuacoo Nunoo also commended the focus on social welfare programs. These include recapitalizing the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) initiative and restoring allowances for teachers and nursing trainees. He mentioned a renewed emphasis on technical and vocational training.

While acknowledging future challenges, he praised the administration’s intent and direction. "President Mahama has shown clarity of purpose," he remarked. He believes Ghana is on a new path based on realism and urgency.

"Chale, John Mahama has only been President for four months," he asserted. "But it already feels like the system is free."
