Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga has dismissed claims that North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa earns GH₵15,000 monthly.

Speaking in Parliament, Ayariga clarified that Ablakwa never made such a statement and that all MPs are aware of their actual salaries.

The remarks follow criticism from Minority members, accusing Ablakwa of portraying himself as morally superior while leading the Operation-Recover All Loot initiative.

Effutu MP Afenyo-Markin questioned Ablakwa’s ability to rent a home at Airport Hills, a high-end residential area, implying financial inconsistencies.

Old-Tafo MP Vincent Assafuah also drew parallels between Ablakwa’s rent and the controversy surrounding former Minister Cecilia Dapaah’s finances.

The debate over Ablakwa’s earnings and residence continues to stir political discussions.
