Mahama appoints Dr. Hannah Bissiw as Minerals Development Fund Administrator

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Dr. Hannah Louisa Bissiw as the Administrator of the Minerals Development Fund, a source at the Presidency has confirmed.

The Fund, established under the Minerals Development Fund Act, 2016 (Act 912), aims to improve the livelihoods of communities affected by mining operations.

Dr. Bissiw, currently the National Women’s Organizer of the ruling NDC, has a distinguished political career, having served as Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture and MP for Tano South.
