In preparation for his inauguration on January 7, 2025, President-elect John Dramani Mahama has begun a diplomatic tour of neighbouring countries to reinforce regional cooperation.
During a meeting with Togo’s President Faure Gnassingbé, Mahama emphasized the importance of strengthening West African ties, highlighting shared cultural, historical, and economic bonds.
He stressed that closer collaboration between Ghana and Togo would help address common challenges and create opportunities for growth, benefiting the interconnected people of both nations.
