President John Dramani Mahama has revealed plans to repurpose the Ho Airport into a premier pilot training school for West Africa.

This initiative aims to create opportunities for aspiring pilots across the region while maximizing the airport’s potential.

Speaking at the Flagstaff House on January 22 during a meeting with Volta Region pastors, President Mahama emphasized the urgency of operationalizing the airport.

He noted that commercial flights by Passion Air had ceased due to low passenger traffic but expressed optimism about the airline's return with redefined strategies.

Rev. Seth K. Mawutor, Chair of the Volta Regional Christian Council, congratulated the President on his election victory and urged swift action on the Ho Airport’s development.

Other pastors highlighted the need for improved regional infrastructure, including road repairs.
