President-elect John Dramani Mahama has paid a visit to Kenyan President William Ruto to express gratitude for his longstanding support and officially invite him to his inauguration on January 7, 2025.

In a Facebook post, Mahama highlighted their discussions on regional integration, continental security, and expanding trade under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

He reiterated his commitment to strengthening ties between Ghana and Kenya.

President Ruto assured Mahama of Kenya’s readiness to enhance bilateral relations, focusing on trade, agriculture, tourism, and energy sectors.

He also expressed appreciation for Mahama’s support of Raila Odinga’s AU Commission chairmanship bid and confirmed his attendance at the swearing-in ceremony.
