The Office of the President has announced the termination of board memberships for statutory boards, corporations, commissions, and councils following the swearing-in of President John Dramani Mahama on January 7, 2025.

This action, in line with the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012 (Act 845), affects all appointments made by former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo or former Ministers of State.

The Acting Presidential Spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, clarified that reconstitution of the boards will follow their enabling laws, while independent constitutional commissions remain unaffected.

President Mahama expressed gratitude to outgoing members for their service and directed management of these bodies to seek Chief of Staff clearance before making decisions until new boards are formed.
