Mahama gives appointees March 31 deadline for asset declaration

President John Dramani Mahama President John Dramani Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has directed all his appointees to declare their assets by March 31, 2025, warning that failure to comply will attract severe sanctions, including possible removal from office.

This directive follows his own asset declaration to Auditor-General Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu on February 18.

Asset declaration, mandated by Article 286(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Act 550, serves as a key measure to promote transparency and combat corruption.

Public office holders across various sectors, including ministers, MPs, judges, and security officials, are required to comply.
