Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu has described the economy inherited by the Mahama administration as a “sinkhole in distress” that needs urgent resetting to enable infrastructure development, particularly in second-cycle schools.
Speaking at the 72nd-anniversary durbar of Keta Senior High Technical School (KETASCO), he emphasized the need for more educational infrastructure to accommodate the growing student population due to the Free SHS policy.
Iddrisu outlined plans to introduce digital literacy from kindergarten to tertiary levels and pledged urgent attention to KETASCO’s infrastructure needs, including a fence wall and improved sanitation.
He assured the Volta Region of significant development as a reward for its electoral support.
