President John Mahama has ordered that individuals implicated in the National Service Authority (NSA) ghost names scandal be declared wanted, with their assets frozen as investigations continue.

Speaking during his 2025 State of the Nation Address (SONA), Mahama emphasized his administration’s commitment to accountability, stating, *“Such blatant theft of public funds must not go unpunished.”*

A Ministry of Finance audit revealed major discrepancies, with only 98,145 out of 180,030 names verified as active personnel, exposing a GH₵226 million fraud.

The National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) has already detained former Deputy Director Kwaku Ohene Gyan and an accountant, Yaw Danso, as part of ongoing investigations.
