Mahama's administration is on the right track- Bawah Mogtari hails

Joyce Bawah Mogtari is a Senior Presidential Advisor. She works for President John Dramani Mahama. On May 5, 2025, she shared her confidence in the administration's early performance on Facebook. She described it as “so far, so great.”

Mogtari noted rising approval ratings and strong public support. President Mahama secured 57% of the popular vote. This shows clear indicators of progress within the first 120 days in office.

“I have been closely following the approval ratings,” she wrote. “Like many Ghanaians, I am confident we are on the right track.”

The administration is marking a major milestone in its reform agenda. Mogtari highlighted the upcoming launch of a new Code of Conduct and Ethics. This step aims to restore public trust and enhance accountability.

“Today, President Mahama takes a bold step forward,” she stated about the launch. The Code will apply to all public office holders and their close associates.

Mogtari emphasized that a key part of this Code prohibits political appointees from acquiring state assets. This measure aims to curb conflicts of interest and promote ethical governance.

“The policy establishes clear enforcement mechanisms,” she explained. It also clarifies the scope of this ban for transparency and accountability.

She concluded by stressing that the Code sends a strong message: “There is no room for conflicts of interest.” Public office is a sacred trust—not a shortcut to personal wealth.
