Mahama’s suspension of Chief Justice threatens rule of law and stability – Minority

The Minority has raised serious concerns about recent actions by the government. They criticize what they call a “blatant disregard for legal processes” and “judicial intimidation.” This follows the suspension of the Chief Justice and the dismissal of some public servants.

The group believes these actions destabilize the nation and harm democratic values. They stated, “These represent a direct assault on our legacy of democratic governance and rule of law.”

The caucus also condemned the mass termination of public sector workers. They described this as economically unjust and socially destabilizing. The statement emphasized that political affiliations should not influence job dismissals in a democracy.

The Minority called for urgent civic action. They urged citizens to “rise in unity and resolve, not as spectators, but as defenders of the Republic.” They believe it is time to act now.
