Deputy Minister for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Mark Okraku-Mantey, has defended his performance amidst criticism, stressing the supportive role of deputy ministers.
Speaking on the Daybreak Hitz show, he highlighted that his contributions align with directives from the substantive minister, emphasizing that the role lacks autonomy.
Using former President Mahama’s tenure as Vice President as an example, he urged critics to evaluate the limitations of such positions rather than focusing on individuals.
Okraku-Mantey called for public assessment of the ministry’s overall achievements instead of personalizing scrutiny.
Responding to claims of being the “worst deputy minister,” he dismissed such critiques as emotional, advocating for a more factual evaluation of his work.
