On Friday, January 24, 2025, President John Mahama swore in five newly approved ministers at the Jubilee House following parliamentary vetting.

This marked the start of their leadership roles in key sectors critical to Ghana’s growth.

The ministers are Abla Dzifa Gomashie (Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts), George Opare Addo (Youth Development and Empowerment), Emelia Arthur (Fisheries and Aquaculture), Ahmed Ibrahim (Local Government and Chieftaincy), and Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare (Trade, Industry, and Agribusiness).

During the ceremony, President Mahama emphasized their duty to uphold transparency, inclusivity, and accountability, reminding them of citizens' high expectations.

“Ghanaians demand dignity, respect, and excellence in governance,” he stressed, urging the ministers to champion national progress with unwavering dedication.
