President John Dramani Mahama, on January 22, officially swore in six newly approved ministers at the Jubilee House.

This marks the first wave of his ministerial appointments, following rigorous parliamentary vetting and approval on January 21.

The appointees include Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson (Finance), Dr. Dominic Ayine (Attorney General), John Jinapor (Energy and Green Transition), Haruna Iddrisu (Education), Eric Opoku (Food and Agriculture), and Governs Kwame Agbodza (Roads and Highways).

During the ceremony, President Mahama emphasized his administration's commitment to maintaining a lean government, limiting total ministerial positions to 60, including deputies.

He reassured Ghanaians of his focus on serving their interests and charged Dr. Ato Forson, the Finance Minister, to stabilize the currency, given its critical importance to the nation’s economic stability.
