Mahama to chair Special Cabinet session ahead of budget reading – Kwakye Ofosu

President John Dramani Mahama is set to chair a special cabinet meeting today, March 7, 2025, to discuss the upcoming national budget.

This marks his second cabinet session since assuming office.

Government Spokesperson Felix Ofosu Kwakye announced the meeting on social media, stating that he will brief the press afterward on key discussions and other pressing national matters.

The meeting comes ahead of the 2025 budget presentation on March 11. Prior to this, a National Economic Dialogue was held from March 3-4 to explore strategies for economic recovery.

The government is expected to scrap certain taxes deemed burdensome while introducing measures to boost revenue generation for national development.
