Mahama vows fair development for Volta Region, pledges to end neglect

President John Dramani Mahama has pledged to address longstanding developmental challenges in the Volta Region, attributing past neglect to political biases.

Speaking in Ho on January 24 during his “Thank You Tour,” he expressed gratitude for the region’s unwavering support in securing his electoral victory.

Mahama acknowledged the region’s pivotal role in Ghana’s democratic progress since 1992 and its contributions to the success of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He assured residents of his commitment to equitable national development, promising to change the narrative of alienation and neglect.

“The Volta Region will no longer be sidelined. This visit marks the beginning of renewed attention to your needs,” Mahama stated, drawing enthusiastic responses from hopeful residents.
