Mr. Richard Acheampong, the Second Deputy Majority Chief Whip, has condemned the behaviour of some NPP backbenchers in Parliament, labeling their conduct as unbecoming given their professional backgrounds.
In a recent interview on Neat FM, Acheampong, who represents Bia East, expressed disappointment with MPs who, despite being highly educated professionals, exhibited unruly behaviour during parliamentary proceedings.
His comments follow a viral video showing a backbencher making derogatory remarks towards NDC MP Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings, referencing her father, the late Jerry John Rawlings, in an offensive manner.
Acheampong called for greater decorum, emphasizing that such behaviour has no place in Parliament, especially from individuals holding the title of "honourable member."
