Man knocked down by trotro on Achimota Highway

A young man was hit by a trotro on the Achimota Highway. This incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025.

Reports say the man was trying to cross the highway. He was struck by a speeding commercial vehicle.

An eyewitness spoke to Citi News about the chaos that followed. Some bystanders tried to attack the driver. However, he managed to escape and went to report it at the Tesano Police Station.

The injured pedestrian received emergency medical treatment at a hospital. Police officers and another driver helped transport him there.
