Legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has dismissed calls for a law to prevent last-minute public sector recruitments by outgoing governments, arguing that a mindset shift is the real solution.
Speaking on TV3’s *KeyPoints* on Saturday, February 15, Kpebu questioned the effectiveness of legislation, warning that people would find ways around it.
He stressed the need for consensus, which he said would not happen overnight.
His remarks followed a call by NPA CEO Godwin Edudzi Tameklo for a law barring major appointments within three months of elections.
Meanwhile, NPP’s Richard Ahiagbah has urged affected individuals to challenge the revocation in court, arguing it violates the Constitution.
Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has ordered the annulment of all appointments made after December 7, 2024, citing governance principles.
