President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed his desire to be remembered as the leader who prioritized education in Ghana.
Speaking at the commissioning of the Accra STEM Academy in East Legon on Friday, December 27, 2024, he reflected on his administration’s transformative strides in education.
Citing initiatives like the Free Senior High School policy and the establishment of STEM-focused institutions, President Akufo-Addo emphasized the long-term impact of these efforts, stating, “The seeds we have sown today will bear fruits for generations to come, shaping a Ghana that is educated, innovative, and resilient.”
The Accra STEM Academy, he noted, is designed to address Ghana’s engineering training gap by equipping students to solve domestic challenges and contribute globally.
He called on Ghanaians to protect this vision, adding, “Let this Academy inspire generations of learners to advance Ghana’s destiny.”
