Military High Command reaffirms support for Defence Minister Omane Boamah

The leadership of the Ghana Armed Forces, led by Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, has pledged full support to newly appointed Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah.

During a courtesy visit to the Defence Ministry in Accra, the military hierarchy congratulated Dr. Boamah and assured him of their commitment to safeguarding national security.


General Oppong-Peprah reaffirmed the armed forces’ dedication to protecting Ghana’s territorial integrity across land, sea, and air.

In response, Dr. Boamah expressed appreciation for their visit and vowed to address key challenges, particularly troop accommodation and logistics.

He commended the military’s efforts in maintaining national stability and countering potential security threats.
