Ministry of Education renames UHAS after late Prof. Mills

The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) in Ho has a new name. It is now called the John Evans Atta Mills University of Health and Allied Sciences.

Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu announced this change. He made the announcement during the inauguration of the university’s new Governing Council on May 28.

The renaming honors the late President Mills. He played a key role in establishing UHAS. His commitment to health and education in Ghana was unwavering.

Council Chair Prof. Kodzo Gavua welcomed this decision. He reaffirmed the university’s dedication to academic excellence and nation-building.

JEA Mills UHAS continues to be a leading institution. It focuses on training skilled health professionals for Ghana and beyond.
