The Minority in Parliament has expressed grave concerns over the delayed progress of the Pwalugu Multipurpose Dam project in the Upper East Region despite $12 million spent.
John Jinapor vowed to investigate and prosecute those involved. The dam, commissioned in 2019 with a budget of $1 billion, remains incomplete.
The site visit revealed little development, with relocated communities still in place. Components include a concrete dam, powerhouse, and irrigation scheme.
The Minority called for accountability and pledged to retrieve the funds. The delegation included MP Edward Bawa and NDC officials.
