The Movement for Change has called on President John Dramani Mahama to merge key anti-corruption institutions, including the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), CHRAJ, CID, and National Security.

The group believes this consolidation will enhance the fight against corruption by eliminating institutional overlaps.

At a press conference in Accra, spokesperson Lawyer Andrew Appiah Danquah outlined the movement’s proposals, including stringent penalties for corrupt officials, compulsory asset declarations, and lifestyle audits.

They also advocate for procurement reforms to curb political patronage and an Anti-Corruption Citizens’ Charter to protect whistleblowers.

The movement insists that without bold reforms, corruption will continue to hinder national progress and weaken public trust in governance.
