My appointment as a Board Member for ECG is a tough call – Edem Agbana

Legislator Eric Edem Agbaba has accepted his new role as a Board Member of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG). He recognizes that this is a challenging position.

Agbaba believes leaders are meant for tough situations. He and his colleagues will work hard to provide power to Ghanaians.

He understands they are stepping in during a difficult time for the energy sector. However, he remains optimistic about supporting the Minister in resetting ECG.

In a social media post, he expressed gratitude for his appointment. He feels honored to join the Board of Directors at ECG, which is vital for Ghana's economy and daily life.

Agbaba thanked H.E. John Dramani Mahama for trusting him with this role. He noted that ECG faces many operational, structural, and financial challenges.

He emphasized that true commitment to public service shines during tough times. While he appreciates the goodwill and congratulations from across the country, his focus is on responsibility.

The sector minister, Hon. John Jinapor, has outlined their job clearly. They must support him in his mission to reset the power sector.

Agbaba is committed to working diligently under Board Chairman Dr. William Amuna’s leadership. Together with the board, they aim to make ECG more efficient and responsive to Ghanaians' needs.

This appointment is not just an honor; it’s a call to serve. Agbaba believes leaders are born for moments like these.
