My ex-girlfriend caused my recent arrest over “sextortion” claims – Okatakyie Afrifa

Broadcast journalist Okatakyie Afrifa has revealed that he was picked up by the Cyber Crime Unit over allegations of "sextortion."

According to Afrifa, the accusation came from his ex-girlfriend, Anne Sansa Daly, who claimed he possessed her intimate images and was threatening to release them. However, he insists he was framed, alleging that she manipulated their conversations before reporting him.

Speaking on the incident, Afrifa dismissed the claims and suggested his arrest was politically motivated.

“I was told that Andeli reported me, alleging that I have her nudes and was blackmailing her. I asked for evidence, and they took me home to seize what they wanted, saying they were investigating me,” he stated.

He further claimed to have intelligence that authorities had compiled a dossier on his accuser, warning her to be cautious.

The journalist maintains that the allegations are part of a larger plot against him. The investigation remains ongoing.
