NDC begins interview for MMDCE aspirants in Ashanti Region

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has begun interviewing candidates for Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executive (MMDCE) positions in the Ashanti Region.

This three-day exercise aims to ensure competent, dedicated, and visionary leadership at the local level. It will cover all 43 metropolitan, municipal, and district areas in the region.

On the first day, 88 aspirants from 11 areas underwent a rigorous vetting process. In total, 343 applicants will present their qualifications, leadership capabilities, and vision to the selection committee.

The NDC leadership has emphasized the importance of this process in identifying leaders to drive the party’s development agenda.

Candidates are expected to address key issues such as unemployment, infrastructure, sanitation, and access to education and healthcare with practical solutions tailored to their localities.
