NDC has prepared petitioners for the removal of EC boss – Nana B alleges

Henry Nana Boakye, known as Nana B, is the National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He claims that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is preparing people to petition the president. This petition would call for the removal of the Electoral Commission chairperson.

Nana B believes that if the government removes the Chief Justice, they will then target the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission. He shared this information in a social media post.

He stated, “The NDC has prepared people to come out with petitions for the removal of the Electoral Commissioner if they succeed in removing the Chief Justice.”

Meanwhile, some political parties are planning a demonstration. They want to express their displeasure over suspending the Chief Justice and firing public sector employees.

These parties argue that the current government is interfering with judicial matters. They believe this interference will weaken judicial independence as a branch of government.
