President-elect John Mahama has underscored the importance of collective effort in governance, stating that while the National Democratic Congress (NDC) holds a significant majority in the upcoming Parliament, it cannot govern alone.
Speaking during a December 31st watch night service at an Assemblies of God church in Tamale, Mahama emphasized collaboration across all political divides, including the NPP, CPP, and others, to achieve national progress.
"Building the Ghana we want together—together is the most important word," he said, highlighting the necessity of unity for the nation’s development.
Mahama, set to assume office on January 7, 2025, won the December 7th election with 56.55% of the vote and aims to steer Ghana towards inclusive and cooperative governance.
