Benjamin Neequaye Kotey, Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Klottey Korle, has strongly condemned remarks referring to their Member of Parliament as the "daughter of a murderer."
Speaking on Rainbow Radio, he described the comment as unacceptable and called for the individual responsible to be identified and punished.
Kotey argued that such language is unfit for parliamentary discourse and insisted that Speaker Alban Bagbin investigate the matter.
He questioned why the accuser did not make such claims when former President Jerry John Rawlings was alive.
The constituency leadership has officially petitioned Parliament, demanding an apology to the MP, the constituency, and the nation.
