NDC to form private security teams to monitor ballot boxes in upcoming elections

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced plans to form private security teams to protect ballot boxes in the upcoming elections, citing concerns over the Electoral Commission's credibility.

Ashanti Regional Chairman Andrews Nana Akwasi revealed the decision at the party’s campaign launch in Manhyia North.

He emphasized that these teams will ensure the safety of ballots from any disruptions.

The event drew a large crowd, with NDC leaders expressing confidence in winning the traditionally NPP stronghold.

The NDC also criticized the ruling party for mismanagement, neglecting stadiums, and implementing a betting tax that burdens citizens.
