The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will overturn all last-minute appointments and promotions made by the outgoing New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, according to NDC Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah.
Speaking at a rally in Sunyani on December 20, he alleged that over 10,000 appointment letters were issued last week alone, with promotions targeting NPP loyalists.
Citing institutions like the Ghana Immigration Service, Customs Division of the GRA, and NHIA, Mr. Nketiah claimed some appointments were backdated to legitimize them. He accused the NPP of strategically planting individuals to cover up alleged malpractices.
The NDC vowed to terminate such appointments and promotions if proven illegal. Officials involved may face dismissal unless they can justify their actions.
This move underscores the NDC’s stance against alleged irregularities.
