The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) has ordered all staff to stay home from February 24, 2025, following revelations of irregular employment practices under former CEO Kofi Ofosu Nkansah.
Investigations uncovered that 32 employees lacked proper salary structures and were unlawfully paid allowances instead of formal wages.
Operational funds were misused to cover payments, violating public financial regulations.
Additionally, for six years, no SSNIT contributions were made for the affected staff.
The new management, led by Eric Adjei, has suspended staff to rectify these issues legally. Critics argue the past administration knowingly employed individuals without proper authorization.
Employees must return NEIP property by February 25 or face legal consequences.
The situation exposes deep financial and administrative flaws within NEIP.
