NPP Elders warn against premature campaigns amid post-election recovery

The National Council of Elders of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has raised concerns about ongoing campaign activities that could harm the party’s recovery efforts.

In a statement, the elders emphasized the need for the NPP to focus on understanding the reasons behind its 2024 election defeat and strategizing for future success.

To guide this process, the party has established an Election Review Committee, chaired by Professor Mike Oquaye, which will engage members, stakeholders, and the public over the next three months.

The elders urged all party members to prioritize introspection and unity, warning that internal rivalries and premature campaigning could derail efforts to rebuild the party.
