NPP MUST REBRAND, ADMIT MISTAKES, AND REBUILD PUBLIC TRUST- AFENYO -MARKIN

The Minority Leader in Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has made an appeal. He urged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to adopt a rebranding strategy. This is important as they prepare for the next general elections.

In an interview on Joy FM, Afenyo-Markin acknowledged NPP's progress over eight years. However, he also noted that the party faced valid criticism for some issues.

He stated, “We need to rebrand and assure Ghanaians of our record.” He mentioned that the party had successes like Free SHS but also made mistakes.

The Effutu MP emphasized that their message should show humility and confidence. The NPP must not ignore concerns from Ghanaians who feel disappointed.

Afenyo-Markin believes reconnecting with grassroots is essential. He stressed the need for accountability, transparency, and people-centered governance.

“This is not the time for arrogance,” he said. “It’s time for honest reflection and a promise to improve.”
