The United Kingdom branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP UK) has dismissed reports alleging misappropriation of funds earmarked for a strategic communication project targeting the 2024 general elections.

In a statement signed by Deputy Secretary Felix Hamilton, the Branch Executive Committee clarified that the claims were based on selective recordings from a five-hour meeting, deliberately leaked to cause disaffection.

The statement assured that the branch chairman had accounted for funds used for a seven-week communication strategy aimed at middle-class voters in Ghana.

Expenses included radio and television airtime promoting policies such as credit scoring and the Ghana Card, with no evidence of misappropriation.

A committee has been formed to investigate the source of the leaked audio.

The branch reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and party unity.
