NPP calls for submission of constitutional amendment proposals by May 9

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is asking members to submit proposals. This is for changes to the Party's Constitution, as stated in Article 19(a).

In a statement on April 25, the Party said, “We request our Members and Identifiable Groups to propose amendments.”

Proposals can be sent in several ways. They can go to the Office of the General Secretary at Party Headquarters. Alternatively, they can be submitted directly to the Constitutional Amendment Committee or emailed to [email protected].

The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 9.

The Party also confirmed it will hold an Extraordinary National Delegates Conference in July 2025. This follows Article 10(2)(8) of the Party Constitution.

The conference aims to review and discuss proposed amendments. These will be presented as motions for adoption.

The Party looks forward to receiving constitutional reform proposals from its members. Approval of these proposals will lead to a revised Constitution addressing key issues facing the Party.
