NPP communicator admits to personal, party arrogance, expresses confidence Bawumia has remedy

Awal Mohammed is a communication member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP). He stated that the party's arrogance while in power led to its defeat in 2024.

He made these comments on GHOne TV’s Breakfast Review, hosted by Joshua Kojo Mensah. Mohammed admitted, “I was also arrogant.” He acknowledged that many party members feel the same way.

He believes this arrogance contributed to their electoral loss. NPP's 2024 flagbearer, Mahamudu Bawumia, remains optimistic about the future. He promised, “When we come, we’ll change it.”

Dr. Bawumia recently recognized that the NPP was “excessively arrogant” during its eight years in power. This attitude caused deep resentment among citizens and NPP supporters.
