NPP drags Owusu Bempah to disciplinary committee for disregarding directive against media commentary

The New Patriciplotic Party (NPP) has disciplined Ernest Owusu Bempah. He is the Deputy Director of Communications, known as Aboa Apapo.

On April 22, 2025, General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong announced the action. Owusu Bempah was referred to the National Disciplinary Committee for his comments.

The party's letter stated he breached directives against media commentary. These directives told NPP members to stop discussing divisive issues publicly.

Owusu Bempah made several social media comments that violated these rules. Therefore, he will face consequences for his actions.

This is not the first disciplinary case in the party. Former lawmaker Sarah Adwoa Safo was also summoned for similar reasons.

Frimpong noted her TV comments violated party directives as well. Her remarks could create disaffection and unrest within the party.
