NPP must seek forgiveness before saying ‘Thank You’ – Prof. Gyampo

Political science professor and acting CEO of the Ghana Shippers Authority, Professor Ransford Yaw Gyampo, criticized the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) post-election Thank You Tour. He called it misplaced and arrogant.

In a statement on social media, he expressed concern about the party's poor performance. He noted that public dissatisfaction is high.

He explained that “thank you” is used to show gratitude for helpful actions. He found the NPP's tour problematic in this context.

Gyampo suggested that the party either doesn’t understand when to say thank you or is taking Ghanaians for granted. He accused them of being arrogant.

He also claimed the NPP has lowered governance standards and gaslighted citizens. “We were hungry and they said we weren’t hungry,” he remarked.

He criticized their economic management, saying it seemed like they hadn’t been educated. He described their greed as excessive.

Gyampo proposed that instead of a Thank You Tour, the NPP should hold a “National Repentance Conference.” He believes they should follow this with a “National Sorry and Apology Tour” before expressing gratitude to Ghanaians.
