NPP rebuilding and 'Thank You Tour': Razak Kojo Opoku urges unity and mutual respect

Dr. Razak Kojo Opoku, a key member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged party members to show humility, tolerance, and respect. This call comes as the party begins its rebuilding process and national "Thank You" tour.

In a statement on Tuesday, Dr. Opoku highlighted the importance of responsible communication. He encouraged respectful engagement among all factions within the party. He warned against “needless accusations and counter-responses” that could harm the NPP's public image.

He stated, “The spoken words of a poor person should be devoid of arrogance.” He added that wealthy individuals should also avoid pride in their speech. Both rich and poor have the right to speak but must do so responsibly.

Dr. Opoku emphasized moral principles in his message. He advocated for humility from those less privileged and meekness from the affluent. The rebuilding process should be based on mutual respect, he said.

He urged stronger members to protect weaker ones and for elders to appreciate youth contributions. Addressing unity within the party, he called on subordinates to support their leaders. In turn, leaders should empower their subordinates.

“It is as simple as that,” he remarked. His comments come amid lively internal discussions within the NPP following the 2024 general elections. Dr. Opoku's remarks aim to strengthen party cohesion ahead of future political activities.
