A 12-member committee tasked with investigating the National Patriotic Party’s (NPP) defeat in the 2024 general elections presented its findings to the national leadership of the party on Wednesday, April 16.
The presentation took place at Alisa Hotel in Accra, where committee chairman Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye and his team formally handed over the official document to the party’s leaders.
The event was attended by key party figures, including former President Nana Akufo-Addo, Vice President Dr. Bawumia, former Running Mate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, General Secretary Justin Kodua, and other prominent party members.
The committee's investigation aimed to determine the causes behind the party's defeat in the 2024 elections and to propose measures to prevent similar setbacks in future elections.
Following the presentation, Prof. Oquaye refrained from commenting on the contents of the findings. The NPP has not yet made the document public, leaving many awaiting further details on the committee's conclusions and recommendations.
