Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus, has revealed his internal dilemma over aligning with either the New Patriotic Party (NPP) or the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Ghana’s 9th Parliament.
In a Facebook post on January 6, 2025, A-Plus disclosed that both parties had approached him with offers to secure his cooperation.
The NPP, represented by Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, pledged not to contest the Gomoa Central parliamentary seat in 2028 if he aligned with them.
Despite this gesture, A-Plus admitted a stronger emotional connection to the NDC, which has also expressed interest in collaborating. He emphasized his decision would prioritize the best interests of his constituency.
With the NDC holding 183 seats, the NPP 88, and four independent MPs, A-Plus’s choice could significantly influence Parliament’s dynamics.
